When Drabble Turns To Dust

I was going to write a little bit of drabble about my three main pony OCs (Sword Feather, Denim Beats, and Flare Blitz) but it kind of turned into a full-length fanfiction.  Anyway, I started it out where they were trapped in their house on a very rainy day, and were arguing about what to do.  I couldn't find anything for them to do, and I was seriously contemplating just making the TARDIS appear in their house of something, when I had this fantastic idea: let's let the ponies open their mail!  So they went through their mail (which allowed to explain a bunch of other minor details that would have been pointless anywhere else) and they found a letter about a flight competition.  Sword Feather and Flare decide to enter the competition, and they spend a week doing some extremely intense training (and bragging to the other about their amazing feats).  Then they go to the competition, and it's going great, and then BAM suddenly Flare Blitz epically fails at pulling of her signature move, the Comet Blitz.  She ends up nearly plummeting to her death until she is saved by...wait for it...her fangirl crush and idol, Spectrum Bolt, who is captain of the Wonderbolts.  So she ends up unconscious in Ponyville Hospital with some serious injuries, and her friends are blaming themselves for the accident, and then as Denim and Sword Feather head home that night they meet none other than Spectrum Bolt himself.  And I finally got to explore his personality on paper, which was nice.  So then I was a bit stuck with the plot again, and used a random generator to help me.  Sword Feather received a mysterious artifact from her mentor, but now I have to figure out what that artifact is.  I'll pick the fanfiction up there tomorrow, but I've been writing for like the past two and a half hours straight and I just feel awesome now.  It's such a good plot and there's so much going on.  Yay for drabble!

(Pssst does anyone want to read it I might post it eventually.  If you don't mind the fact that it takes place about 100 years after the canon show, and features mostly OCs, save for the princesses.)
