Sooooo.  In our advisory (basically homeroom) classes, we have to make a banner thing for the homecoming dance this weekend.  Preferably with a blue jay, as that is our mascot, and "sweet southern" themed, because that is the dance theme.

So after much deliberation and looking through the rough drafts everyone drew...

I get stuck with the entire project.

Now the thing is, I'm a little ticked that no one seems to care, but also that I was expected to comply.  Yo, just because I draw something with amazing perspective and scenery in ten seconds flat doesn't mean you put all the supplies on my desk in the back of the room.

Also, they don't seem to understand that if they're forcing me to do this, I don't want help.  Because this is either perfection or nothing.

Anyway, I'm planning on having a super-realistic blue jay in the foreground, sitting in a tree, and then below and sort of in the background there's a rider and horse (cause apparently "sweet southern" is also "wild west" in our school...?).  And in the background background, there's gonna be the Sierra Nevada/Rocky Mountains, as well as some dryish scenery.

I have until Friday, and I have twenty minutes each day.  HECK YEAH LETS DO THIS.

I might try to do it digitally, though.  Convert pixels to sizes and then cut out the images and layer them.  Dunno yet.  And I swear to you I'm gonna milk this attention/not enough attention for all it's worth.  Bring out the annoying chiptune which I'm gonna insist on playing, the i'm-so-so-so-sorry-that-the-bluejay's-beak-is-too-much-like-that-of-a-jackdaw's, and the-coloring-is-actually-from-a-Canadian-bluejay-i'm-sorry-i'm-a-failure-to-us-all.

Yeah.  I don't know why is ticks me off that they expect me to do it AND listen to other people's ideas AND let other people help me even after they sort of deem it the "class project but Brookreed's doing like 99% of it".  Wheeeee let's do this, though!
